Patrick and Catherine (McDonnell) Anglum census from 1855, Town of Greene, New York State.
There is a lot of questions on the fathers real name. Original documents have him as Francis Patrick, I have yet to find ANY reference to Francis. I have found John and Patrick and a combination of John Patrick. May never be answered, but you will not see Francis in any of my research.
From this, we know this family came over to the United States around 1850 and that Catherine Anglum, wife of Philip Crampton, was the first born here in 1852. What is interesting is that her older sister Bridget is not listed. Family stories say she came over later with her grandparents, John and Bridget (Slattery) McDonnell. This seems to confirm that story.
Also of note, Patrick nor Catherine could read or write
