Carl and Elizabeth (Thuringer) Sommer's wedding photo.This is one the first photo I got when started doing family research. After all these years I can not remember who I got it from. I should have been better at saving information back then.
They were married in 1893 in what I think was Dakota City, Douglas Co., South Dakota. Elizabeth passed away in 1938, and Carl went on to marry is brother's (Ludwig Sommers of Eden, SD) widow, Elisabeth Janisch about 1941.
Carl passed in 1947 and Elisabeth Janisch returmed to Eden until her death in 1956.
